Eli Roth’s First Horror Movie Since Hostel: Part II Looks Really Disturbing
Torture Porn King, Eli Roth, was at Comic-Con this week to discuss his first horror movie since 2007, The Green Inferno. True to form, Roth’s newest film looks to be a very unpleasant viewing experience. If you loved Roth’s Hostel movies, then you’re going to love this too.
The Green Inferno is in theaters September 25, 2015.

Eli Roth hasn’t released a feature horror film since 2007’s Hostel: Part II, but after years of shifting release dates, his cannibal horror movie The Green Inferno is finally hitting theaters on Sept. 25. The new Comic-Con teaser trailer features young American activists who originally traveled to the Amazon looking to protest deforestation – but instead found a far more bloodthirsty welcome.
Roth and castmembers Daryl Sabara, Kirby Bliss Blanton, and Lorenza Izzo stopped by the Entertainment Weekly Lounge at Comic-Con to talk about how the film comments on activism and charity work. “It’s what I would call slacktivism or reactivism, where people are just retweeting,” Roth said. “And you can see the kids in the movie, they’re way more excited to be on the Reddit homepage and trending on Twitter rather than to actually do something. They want the credit for the activism, not the activism itself.”
